Sunrise or Sunset?

I was born inter sexed over 70 years ago and grew up learning to be ashamed of it and pretended to be ‘a man’ while the family doctor flooded me with testosterone from ages 11 to 17. The guessed wrongly, but until my dad died I was unwilling to seek medical treatment when I was 33 years old.

It was two years after my mom died I quit being ashamed of having been born inter sexed.

What is inter sexed. “Inter sexed” is the nice kind word to replace the derogatory ‘hermaphrodite’ word.

There was such a case in California wherein the child’s vagina was closed at age 5. They still feminized and at age 11 were given testosterone to masculinization them. At age 17 they had grown to over 6’4” due to estrogen suppression.
